I speculate and observe what I found to be the most interesting parts of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. A playable Zelda is finally here!

This is exactly what we needed. A classic style 2d Zelda game with modern playability. I'm so excited to play it!
  • People might be better off trying to figure out Mario’s timeline than Links at this point

the hood is cute, but i really want to be able to play as Zelda with her classic look.

the zora architecture looks like the totok water temple architecture, nobody talk about this-

Here are my predictions: the Ganon at the start was an echo; the king of Hyrule was replaced by an echo while Link was adventuring; the rift world will most likely be called the Echo World, the Copy World or something to that affect; Zelda will have to make echos of Link to help fight the final boss (may or may not be Ganon); Tri is either the emodiment of the Triforce of Wisdom or is somehow connected to it.

I think sense before Ganon "dies" he is looking up maybe he is laughing? my theory is after getting beat up by Link he striked his trident into the ground then teleported away.
  • I'm really confident that its a sequel to Links Awakening, not just the same artstyle but the exact same design outright, plus the Link to the Past similar world design.
  • 8:25 On the contrary, I believe art design is one of the best indicators of where a game should be on the timeline! For example, all the games on the Adult Timeline share the same artstyle. And most games on the Fallen Timeline also share the same artstyle. Games with a similar look are usually related. The only exception to this rule is the Vaati games, which most people agree are placed really randomly on the timeline. I'm sure you would agree that those games would fit better alongside one another (Minish Cap, and Both Four Swords Games). Otherwise, congratulations on predicting the next game would be a 2D game! I also never noticed that Zelda was "breaking into" Gerudo town. But it makes total sense given that she is sneaking over the wall.

There are no triangles above the wind-up Octo rock Cannon, so I think it is a dungeon item!

Zelda leaves the dungeon without the hood and either it's given to her by Impa upon escaping the cell, or she goes into the rift early in the game to find it.

um, i mean, the oracle games had pretty much all of the things your mentioning at the end, both zora tribes, gereudo in the form of kote and koume, deku scrubs, even their own versions of the great deku tree. but at the very least most of the downfall timeline is littered with river zora blasting us since the original game.
  • I mean it's not really a "2D Zelda game" it'd be more accurate to call it a "top down Zelda game", also considering we have deku's, gerudo and both types of Zora I hope we'll get gorons too

If the opening has the Ganon vs Link battle be playable, maybe it was actually a proper Boss Fight? And Ganon just teleported to the center of the stage for the cutscene? Or if it's all just a cutscene and they added that extra touch to be in line with how it would usually go if it were a playable Boss Fight.

Woah, great observations! You caught so many things that flew by me!

You called it Essay!! This is gonna be awesome. I'm a old school 2D Zelda guy from way back, and I'm glad they've went this route and game us a new 2D game. I was worried about puzzles. You how are they gonna move past the old, light the torches, bomb the wall, kill all the enemies approach. Well, it appears they thought of that as well. Nintendo is WAY too good at what they do. See ya Essay. Good job predicting the future.
  • I don't think ANY of the races being in this game cause an issue for Downfall placement. The Zora are in Oracles and easily could've migrated, the Gerudo would've left after the first imprisoning war and therefore could return anytime. The Deku tree would just be further into the forest. And Deku Scrubs might be tied to the tree anyway, as in like Koroks or Kokiri. This is putting aside that I believe TOTK is set in the far future of the Downfall timeline anyway.
