I have to say it. The repunzel we all "know and love" isn't even close to the original. In the original story repunzel's poor parents traded her to a witch for a repunzel (cabbage) to satisfy a pregnancy craving. The prince knocks her up with twins before falling from the tower and having his eyes scratched out. Repunzel raises her babies in a cave before running into the prince again where he's been wondering around blind for years. She heals his eyes with her tears of joy and they return to his home to get married.

Man wtf did Shay do to that house? Throw a party and move back home? I definitely did not live very clean at 18 when I had depression, anxiety and undiagnosed ADHD but I would not just make a mess and leave back to my parents? That’s honestly wild to me, like I have so many questions.

speaking as indian diaspora born and raised in germany: 1) nobody above the age of six considers rapunzel a shining pinnacle of german culture 2) my only problem with casting an indian woman to play a princess from a german fairytale is that indian folk tales and mythology would be much more fun to watch onscreen than a repetitive disney cash grab

The funniest part of the whole Rapunzel drama is that if we want to really get into the nitty gritty, the fairy tale isn't even originally German. It's Italian. The Grimm brothers reworked a French fairy tale into Rapunzel, and the French was itself a reworking of the Italian story of Petrosinella

I’m just gonna say it’s a pattern for black women to be painted as aggressive way too often, and it is still a thought some people have that black skin is thicker and needs more pressure to tattoo. I don’t think either side is completely innocent, but the artist painting her as aggressively yelling and then admitting she just typed it on her phone is insane. Edit: after reading some of the replies, and looking into the situation more, I agree. This isn’t a two-side issue, this is the fault of the tattoo artist. Not the woman.

I can understand an 18 year old kid ruining a house. I saw that a lot during uni. What I CAN'T understand is then going and attacking the kind woman who GAVE you the house!!!

As a young 18 who is struggling through life not knowing if I'll ever be able to afford a home, if I got a house for free- I would not only take extra care of it knowing that I'll probably never get a new one and I would've probably given her furnished stuff back besides utilities. Idk I would've done something to express my gratitude knowing that it's hard to afford housing rn.
