Behind the scenes of a quite large medical clinic that’s of course on a 24/7 rotation. Lots going on. All experts in their fields. 12:27

The cleaning staff are the under paid and under appreciated hero's of all hospitals. They work just as hard as nurses and Dr.s.

USA here, my local 809-bed hospital, has computerized patient charts. By the time I get home, i log onto my online personal chart, which has my visit notes all typed in! Blood tests are added as they're completed. I'm always shocked how quickly it's completed.
  • This is why I remember not just the doctors and nurses in my prayers, but the many others behind the scenes, who make it possible for them to do their jobs! Thank you to every single person who is part of the team in modern medicine today, you are appreciated!

Like so many services, it’s not what you see, it’s what you don’t see that can make the difference. It really is a team working to make things work and ensure the people you see have everything they need to assist saving lives and getting us on the road to recovery!

The support people; Maintenance, Housekeeping, Dietary, Supply Techs, etc do not get enough credit. I worked in hospitals as a Respiratory Therapist and without them things would fall apart quickly.
  • I'm 100% reliant on TPN (the IV nutrition they show them preparing) and it's amazing to see them preparing it! It really makes me appreciate it even more. Without TPN available, I wouldn't be alive today. I've had sepsis multiple times, but every time it was proved to be because of the nurses who connect up my TPN making a mistake in their sterile technique and introducing bacteria into my body. My TPN goes in to my body via basically a giant IV line that goes into my chest to my heart. So any bacteria goes straight into my blood stream. I'm so glad that they are so careful preparing the TPN bags, meaning I don't get yet another life threatening infection. I wish nurses would be more careful when connecting my TPN though...

Please bring your expertise to the USA. Our hospitals are not as clean as yours are. Thanks for this awesome documentary. You guys rock!!!

29:35 I have an enormous amount of respect for all these caring people do! Since the hospital is basically my second home.
  • That was a beautiful, well run hospital! As a retired CNA, I can truly say that if l ever got sick on vacation in the UK, I'd love To go to that hospital! Greetings from Neptune City , New Jersey, USA!

I’m a retired nurse and I can tell you now that unless a patient has something going on (like C. Diff) the beds in the hospitals I worked in never saw 10 sets of sheets/day. IDK what things are like now but I never heard of equipment being cleaned down like the do in the beginning of this video. It’s amazing and I can tell you now I wouldn’t have survived being ancillary staff in this hospital. Probably not without having both knees replaced. I’m only 16 minutes into the video and is it ever impressive. I was really surprised to see the young man with the back surgery walking back to the OR. Big contrast from patients being wheeled in on a gurney. Having been on both sides of the operating table (assisting in the OR and as a patient) that was a new one. These types of shows are always so interesting and informative. Seeing how things are done in other states/countries is such an eye opener!
