Rick had it all, the looks the voice and the fame, it never went to his head. I saw him in person a few month before his death and he treated people with the ultimate respect. Rick you were a class act!
  • One of my favorites, Rick says it all. Underrated for his talent, voice and humility. That fabulous face.

At 13 yrs old I saw him live. I begged my mother to take me. I’m 71 and still remember how he made me feel as a teenager. RIP Ricky, you made millions feel how I feel listening to your music. ❤️

''But it's all right now, I learned my lesson well. You see, ya can't please everyone, so ya got to please yourself.'' Ricky rules

Looking remarkably youthful for a man of 45, this talented and underated performer would be gone just four months later. Big loss.
  • He was a good man from the 1950s singing a song about the wild 1960s while sporting a haircut from the 1970s and performing in the decade of the 1980s.

I thought that this man was the most gorgeous of all singers. He had such a beautiful and unique voice. I still miss this man. He had so much pain in his life but he brought us so much joy. Always remembered , always loved , Rick .. rip.

And I LOVE this song, first time I heard it, it was with my mom in a car driving across half Sweden to my Grandma, I was about 8 years old. And every singel day from I heard it, I rememberd every word from this song (but I couldn't speak or english) and I knew how that song went in my head. And from that day, I love country music thanks to my mom.
  • I'm 72. When I was 18 - 20 years old, Ricky Nelson was my favourite singer. I used to admire at his good looks and think to myself,"you lucky b.........d. Not only are you famous but with those looks you can have any girl want" RIP Ricky.

Ricky was a great talent. "Garden Party" was his own great lyrical offering. He is sorely missed.

  • I had that same hair in 1985. Now most of it is gone. Dude could sing and had more to offer. R.I.P

I got to see him peform in the early 80s in Baltimore, MD. He was just fantastic. Wore a beautiful blue shirt, sat on a stool and played. Just great. Gone too soon.

Ricky Nelson was the Handsomest man I ever new in the music business since Ozzie and Harriet. RIP. Great vocalist leader of the pack I remember in 1959.
