  • This is a classic song. It just makes you feel good.
  • Great talent at singing country, rock and roll and could act too. What a talented guy.
  • I had the privilege of seeing Rick Nelson in concert at Knott's Berry Farm,of all places, way way back, I was just a kid at the time, and the so-called good time theater was still called the John Wayne Theater at the time that he was playing. Literally what happened in the song happened while I was there. I went with my father who was very opinionated, and he got up and walked out when he saw what Ricky Nelson looked like at the time. He had long hair and a shirt with cut-off sleeves and old jeans and my dad got peeved and walked out- so that just goes to show you how true these lyrics are😊

Some of these comments make me feel old!!! One says not the original. It's live!!! That turned out to be his biggest hit. Tom Brumley on steel played for years with Buck Owens. Wonder how many remember the Ozzie and Harriet show!!!! I had the privilege of along with one of my brothers and 2 other guys I know to work with Ricky.

This is this is absolutely one of my favorite songs from him. You know people can be really cruel they expect you to look like you're 16 when you're 75. They wanted to sound exactly the same and look the same and they don't have the mentality to know you don't stay the same. I know it broke his heart but I am so proud of him he busted every one of them without saying anything mean he got them in a song. That's why you never play Madison square garden because people are just not the same. Ricky was a great man and a great singer and I hate they did that to him but he came back with the best banger ever

I heard this song on the radio a lot when I was a kid in East Toledo in the 70s.

My earliest memories of Ricky Nelson was on Ozzie & Harriet
  • I remember watching a documentary on him on VH1 when I was in HS. I said to myself what a fine and talented man he was RIP
  • Watched Ricky growing up on their TV Show, he was my first teen idol! Loved him in Rio Bravo. Loved his music. RIP we lost you way to soon. Now I love watching his boys, Matthew and Gunnar, playing and singing Ricky's songs. Love watching and listening to their music. Ricky would be so proud!

I watched him as a tiny little girl on tv…when this song came out I remember I was so excited. I was 15 and liked that folky/country/rock style. Plus he had such a beautiful voice.
