He is the best in the world for a reason! I have lost count of how many times people say the other top GMs are "this" close to magnus but never beat or reached his level. He is truly the goat for me alongside kasparov and Bobby fisher.
  • Always great to see Magnus further cementing his status as the GOAT. Congrats to Magnus on the win, and congrats to Wesley for a well-fought 2nd

As someone said once, every tournament Magnus play he has an advantage, cause he doesn't have to play Magnus 😆

This is a way better format than the FIDE Championship. Much more exciting to watch, more interesting for the players, novel decision trees generated from shorter time control paired with the playoff format. Glad we have this series. On that note, great production work for the event coverage. Especially with the pub crowd interspersed with the quality commentating, the fun and creative interludes, the graphics -- it all feels more like a sporting event than chess has ever felt. Kudos to the team.

Love the way GM David Howell and GM Robert Hess comment the matches. A lot of common sense. A big like and encouragement to keep doing their work!

That was extremely confident win for Magnus. He wasn't even close to getting into trouble for whole tournament. Only Fabi was a some challenage but still 2:0 on sets.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT THAT'S WHY HE'S THE MVP THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOAT... THE GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

A great tournament from Wesley! It’s a shame he had to run into Magnus 😂

Welsley played with fire against Magnus. Magnus played with Wesley's soul.

Why is the main camera always centred on the players and not the chess board. Can't even see the chess board
  • Well, Wesley getting his rook trapped like tht was a 1500 level error. But then, when you have got too many combinations going through your head,& you have 3 minutes left on the clock, against Carlsen, its easy to mke such a mistake
  • Congratulations Magnus. First time I follow the tour pretty much live. Thanks for the show.

When Wesley puts his glasses on he's Clark Kent but when he takes his glasses off he's "SO"perman.
