Watching the tropics: Tropical wave to move closer to southeast US by weekend

The tropical wave located in the central Atlantic is surrounded by dry air. It will move into more favorable environment as it gets closer to the Greater Antilles and the Bahamas. If a depression forms, it’s likely to turn north towards Florida or up the east coast of the United States. Chief Meteorologist Jason Smith has more.

Have to give you alot of credit for saying just because water is very warm that doesn't mean a big storm will form, seems most people key on that without talking about the atmospheric conditions ,i think the atmospheric conditions are to difficult to communicate to the public so most just push the warm water thing
