you're severly underestimating how strong this combo would be. Kit Fisto, Mace Windu and Anakin fighting together would beat darth sidious in less than a minute.

Alternative: Palpatine sees Anakin and Mace and goes willingly, knowing that is his own chance of surviving and that his plan has failed.

Originally Anakin actually did go with Mace. If you look closely during the fight, there's a shot where you can see Palpatine is holding Anakin's lightsaber. That's because he force pulled it away from Anakin and wielded it instead of his own lightsaber but George Lucas changed it afterwards.

Same outcome. When you said Palpatine's office became a battleground, it reminded me of Episode 3 of the Original trilogy. With Luke approaching The Emporer instead of Windu.

What if Palpatine surrendered to stand trial, and just went “this is just religious persecution. Yeah I’m a Sith, but that’s not a crime” And then they can’t prove he’s been behind the separatists. Them being lead by a Sith Lord is just conjecture, and even if confirmed, it can’t be confirmed it’s Palpatine, as far as the senate knows.

i like how you showed that mace arrested palpatine cus that was his intention. however, anakin is the chosen one so how come he didnt bring balance to the force? i believe if anakin went along with windu, he would've been angry at himself and sidious and use that anger to detain and or kill/arrest sidious while still remaining on the path of the light. anakin is so powerful that he can use his anger and harness it to his advantage as a jedi
