In 1.17 the majority of ores will not be exposed in caves, the only way to get them will be through stip mining. Today I will show you an alternative to this method. It uses a player himself to mine all the blocks that you want, meaning that you can afk for up to 2 hours with no direct interaction to the player needed.

    Also one realy important thing I forgot to mention, if you are going to run this on non peacefull gamemodes you will need a mobswitch to keep mobs from spawning inside your new tunnels ;)

    Nice video, I love it! As a suggestion, you can try implementing an XP stop (with an xp farm ) where the player would fix his pickaxe that has mending. It may be fun to try and build it, although it will make the entire thing much more complex :D

    Interesting! Have you considered adding a pickaxe exchange using item frames (being hit by snowballs) and droppers?

    You can put a dropper that puts pickaces into your inventory so that you dont have to do it manualy.

    Very awesome idea but it won't be very effective for the actual survival because of the time you will spend making this and just manually doing it with haste 2, as you also said you need a mobswitch that also requires time to make it.
