This video talks as if the KAAN is already proven and has demonstrated all the planned features of the fighter. It has done none of them. And the notion that they can craft a weapons system that surpasses a product from seasoned manufacturers with decades of 5th gen experience on their first try seems extremely far-fetched. There is a mountain of technological catchup to do and in all likelihood Turkey's claims are just to garner export interest.

Project aspirations are very different from actual tested and confirmed capabilities. Many of the attributes mentioned as fact in this presentation are yet to be tested, and therefore at this stage are mere design aspirations. An eleven minute test flight with the landing gear down would not have tested; flight ceiling, range, super cruise, top speed, payload capacity etc. Very misleading.

Its too late for russia, china and turkey. America's 5th generation fighters are already 10-20+ years old (F117, F22, F35) The US airforce is already moved on to fielding a 6th generation.
