This Locomotive Was Smoking Hard Pulling A Heavy Train After Sitting 5 Days Tied Down! #trains

Last Friday ELS 502 made it as far as Randville, MI where they would tie down for the next 5 days until today. I caught up to them at Merriman Road where black smoke was just pouring out the stack.. They had a very heavy train loaded down headed south today! I caught it at 4 crossings, the last being County O in Wisconsin and stick around to the end to see my garden!

The way it's smorking it's on a pack of Marlboros on this trip. So in 5 days they got the logs unloaded and half the Center beams loaded they took up. The 7 CTRR Cloquet Terminal log cars took me by surprise as it's been well over half a year since they were last used and it seemed they were sent back to Minnesota. Since they have the sides let's see where they wind up because it should be on the CN. Just about time for the scrap gons and possibly any of the ore residue

I saw that wave from the engineer at the broken pole crossing! Nice size train, almost worth waiting 5 days for! 502 doing a good steam locomotive impersonation! Remember - "If the train is rocking, a derailment won't be shocking"

Hey there Jason an amazing catch of ELS AKA Penn Central 2.0. where we will dog out engines until they die and bring them back to dig them somemore lol thanks for the catch. Also the engine was pissed off, thats why it was trying to be a steam engine lol.

Those loaded pulpwood cars, CTRR ~ Cloquet Terminal Railroad Company, 315 St Louis Ave, Cloquet, MN. The question now is are the loads going to WI or MN?

Jason since their bringing wood back south, LP was probably on vacation for the worker's.
