Okay but does anyone else notice that Joy was kind of gaslighting sadness?
  • @nerdgirl_113
Bro, when they first got stuck outside, Sadness immediately realised that without Joy, Riley can't be happy and prioritises getting her back. Girl doesn't even consider herself. I don't know whether to respect her for being so selfless or feel bad for her for thinking so little of herself.

Fun fact: Joy’s hair and eyes are blue, yet her body is yellow, but we’ve seen with every other emotion that their color palette stays the same with just different shades, showing on how happiness does often need sadness, because if some things aren’t sad, then what’s the point of being happy if nothing matters? Also is it weird that I’m sad that Sadness never got her blue core memory? Like- GIVE IT TO HER- SHE DESERVES IT SHE IS TOO PURE!

FINALLY someone acknowledged the way Joy sacrificed like a hundred teen boys!! Like damn sis, i know Riley takes priority, but those boys were literally made with love in their hearts and you just sent them to the void πŸ’€

As kids we rooted for Joy, when we got older we love and realize how important Sadness is. Dang, I didn’t know I would get this many replies
  • @RoryGoryTheGreat
Just realised that joy panicking and trying to delete all of sadnesses memories is basically avoidance at its finest, oh my gosh this movie gets better the older you are

5:29 why is sadness so cute in this scene??? 😫😫

Joy is the antagonist of Inside Out, like Alma was the antagonist for Encanto. They both had good intentions but treated their comrades/family members poorly, especially the "unspecial" ones (i.e. Sadness - Mirabel). It wasn't until the end that they finally understood what they were doing wrong, be it through literal destruction, and resolved to make things better from then on. πŸ’™πŸ’›

    Joy’s passive-aggressive smiles are everything.

Everyone talking about growing to like or hate Sadness less as they grew up- meanwhile Sadness was my favorite from day one.

10:23 the "king:" is so real, he’s the only one who saved her

Growing up is realizing joy was the villian. Though not intentional, if she had let sadness do her job everything would be fine. Edit. 1k, the f?! The most likes I get is usually like.....6.....
  • @gracedoubleu
"Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life's problems" is such a relatable quote
  • @Hopestxrz
4:18 'remember the funny movie where the dog dies' like the way she says it so frantically makes me laugh 😭
  • @p34chy-b1rd
Anger: "The mom bad news train is pulling in, TOOT TOOT" The passive-aggressiveness I LOVE IT- Also true- Joy and Sadness are a chaotic duo-
  • I hated how joy treated sadness. And I hated her toxic and forced positivety.

I was always confused as a kid as to why sadness was able to fix everything but now I’m realizing that joy bottled up sadness and wouldn’t let her take control. That caused Riley to lash out and become rebellious when she didn’t have joy because she was so dependent on it. Then when she got home, she finally had a breakdown and was comforted by her parents. Only when she stopped bottling up her emotions could she feel better.
