For a stretch, John Denver was one of the biggest acts there was...

I am a West Virginian and the very first time I heard this song I was serving on the border in West Germany in the US Army - it hit home deeply. At every sporting event for West Virginia University this song is played after the game - you might say it is our state anthem
-
❤❤My sister in law Gail, died in a car accident almost 31 years ago. She was born in WV, and this was her most favorite song❤❤
-
John Denver was a blessing to this world.
-
Rocky Mountain High, Annie's Song, Calypso and Thank God I'm A Country Boy will get you started down the John Denver rabbit hole
-
John Denver shared a love for nature in so many of his songs.
-
Beautiful reaction. John is the only artist that has two official state songs. This one is WV's state song & Rocky Mountain High is Colorados
-
The official anthem of the State of West Virginia. R.I.P. John Denver.
-
I Grew up on John Denver, the long list of Songs he did is Amazing, Sad you never got to see him in person it was like going to a camp sing along for 20,000 people and the Man Never left the Stage for almost 3 hours it was Amazing !!

Love this song and big fan of John Denver
-
One of the best folk singers of all. He was taken from us far to soon. He died in a airplane crash
-
Check out "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" and "Rocky Mountain High" which is a song about his love for Colorado. John Denver was the first concert I ever went to as a teenager in the 70s. The next day I went out and bought his album. He was such a wonderful singer/songwriter. RIP John.

This is definitely my favorite John Denver song
-
I love John Denver's music, a lot of talent, a great guy and he died way too soon while doing something he loved, flying.
-
Such a nice reaction. I’m glad you let the song play all the way through without interruption. Well done. - Thomas

This is one of my top 10 all time favorite songs.
-
One of the most recognizable songs of all time to all generations .. Awesome
-
This is my favorite song by him! He sings it with a lot of meaning and soul! Have a good one!
-
John's songs are no longer music, they are culture. I've been country all my life, this stuff just soothes my soul.

This one hits home for me because I live in Pittsburgh, about 40 minutes from West Virginia. It really is a beautiful state. "Country Roads" is one of four state songs of WV. You're right Angela, John's voice is very soothing. It's like listening to an old friend.
