It always strikes me as funny when a murderer will say “I swear to god or it’s the gospel truth”. Like they expect the detectives will say, “oh, well since you said that, you must be telling the truth”.

Tell me how it makes any sense when a man kills a young woman, hides her body, tells no one and then after being interviewed by detectives 25 years later confesses to the crime, has a trial in a court of law and receives a sentence of THREE years in prison as his punishment for the crime ?…That kind of a sentence should be a crime…(IMO).

This was the quintessential 70s free range childhood...this could have happened to so many others just as easily.

The evil that has always and will continue to exist in this world, is staggering. It would be extremely difficult to bring up children to recognize danger at every turn.
  • In the first episode that young girl had the most beautiful red hair. So much promise and taken in the prime of her life. I feel so bad for her little brother. My little brother would have suffered the same guilt because we were always playing together and coming home together before the street Lights came home. I hope God has granted him peace and he knows his sister would never have blamed him for anything.
  • Having to carry that guilt..... even though it wasn't his fault.... they were kids.... it's just so sad..... 😢💔🙏😥

It’s absolutely unconscionable that Horton wasn’t tried early on. The circumstantial evidence would absolutely have convicted him. Put any thinking person on the jury.

I used to drive by where Lizabeth was abducted from for 3-4 years every day. I was only 2 when it happened and I had no idea that it happened there.

2 questions: 1- what kind of husband gifts their wife a knife like that? 2- that detective touching the evidence items with no gloves?

Bro Branham is smiling. Thank you for sharing.
  • You can't call a witness in tp ask if they 'also saw a specific person there'. That's insane. First interview needs to include all the open unprejudiced questioning, 'was anyone else there', etc. Any decent lawyer would get her whole testimony tossed out.

Detective Marquadt's interrogation technique is so great.
