SpaceX is gearing up for its highly anticipated Orbital Flight Test of Starship, and there's a lot to learn from its recent 31-engine static fire. In this video, Adrian Beil from NSF breaks down the numbers and explains what's next for Starship on its path to orbit. He compares the thrust of Starship to other rockets, such as SLS and Saturn V, and gives a rundown of the rocket's countdown. You'll learn what to expect from the fueling process and hear about the GSE struggles that SpaceX faced before fueling the rocket. Watch this video to stay up to date on SpaceX's latest progress towards the future of space travel.

Really like when NSF has narrated content. Good stuff.
  • I read someone else's suggestion that the automatic engine abort (the second engine) was simply a consequence of the first engine that was manually disabled, with the second engine probably being the one mounted directly opposite to this first engine, simply to make sure the thrust remains balanced (should an engine shutdown occur, in-flight), rather than the 2nd engine actually being faulty. This could also explain the later single engine spin prime test, as there may have been only one engine of concern.
  • @JamieG.
Well done Adrian! You did a good job of narration.
  • These deep analysis of videos are very very good interesting and help us as a community a lot. Thank you, Adrian and the team at NSF. It’s only getting more exciting day by day.

What’s crazy is that Super Heavy almost beat SLS with just HALF its full capacity, and with two engines disabled.

NSF - you continue to be rockstars - thank you for what you do!!
  • Nicely done Adrian, useful analysis and quality narration. Kudos to the NSF team!

The Adrian Spreadsheet reveal? I would love to get some data visualization with the numbers as well. I mean you almost had a bar chart right there. But good to see that there is some data visualization, which is always more difficult for time data. Perhaps we get a checklist for the next tank watching stream. I really miss having the voices running in the back while playing Minecraft

I really dig the retro synth music you had playing.

I enjoy the videos where you talk us through things (more than the ones with just the images and captions at the bottom).
