When Jordan asked Wray for more details about a drone believed to have been flown by the shooter several hours before the rally, Wray responded that the drone is currently under FBI review.
"We have recovered a drone that the shooter appears to have used. It's being explored and analyzed by the FBI lab. The drone was recovered in his vehicle, so at the time of the shooting, the drone was in his vehicle with the controller," Wray said.
Earlier this week, the House Oversight Committee grilled Kimberly Cheatle, director of the U.S. Secret Service at the time of the deadly shooting. Members on both sides of the aisle called for her resignation and she announced Tuesday she was stepping down. Cheatle repeatedly referred lawmakers seeking details to the investigation being carried out by the FBI.
