A massive Atmospheric River slammed #california with heavy #rain causing widespread #flooding. The first major storm of #2024 for the state caused widespread #landslide and #flood in #losangeles metro. The massive #winter #storm also brought high #hurricane force #wind to the central valley.

The #dust storm, tumbleweed and wind shots were from Grapevine, CA and impacted #travel blowing over several #tractor #trailers #trucks
Water Rescue from #firstresponders was shot in #ventura on the Ventura River.

The #aerialfootage shots of the Los Angeles River is from Compton.

The #cars stalled in high flood waters was from Los Angeles.

    You really captured the destruction in our area. It's still raining. I have seen the destruction when I had to travel the canyons when I worked in the Miracle Mile. It's positively trencherous to try to get to work when you have to travel through any of the canyons. Thank you for the footage.

    Very sorry for see the damages for the homeowners. I wonder how they are going to recover and recoup from it since I have heard insurance does not cover flood damage like this. It's worrisome as it looks like extreme weather is becoming more and more frequent.

    You can tell so many of these places were built with zero concern for water run off. They just stuck them on a hill and called it good.
