Google Pixel Mar 2024 Feature Drop - What's New?

Being able to access the bluetooth items with the tile is something I've been wanting for a while. Also, sharing wifi is a lot easier and that's something I've been wanting for a while!

Couple extra things; when you enter the pin in the lock screen the animation on the numbers now matches your material you colours instead of more monochrome-ish (only in light mode). On the top left of the notification bar, the subsequent notification icon is now much closer to the clock. In light mode the notification banners are now slightly more coloured to your material you colours instead of being white. Oh and the internet toggle on the notification panel only lights up if you're actually connected to something instead of being lit up all the time

HI. Congratulations for the video, always very interesting. I wanted to ask you how you manage to have the icon titles on 2 lines. Currently on my Pixel 8 PRO I only have one line and if the whole title doesn't fit, it is cut off with 3 dots "..." Is there any way to set this view? I saw that you have it on the Pixel. No two lines for app names in my 7a. It was on QPR2 beta but after updating to stable march it's showing again single line.

Besides the app drawer, is the two line app name appear on the home screen or is it the same where the app name trails off?

Great Video Did you notice the bug on the lock screen? When you have notifications and activate the flash light the notifications won't slide smoothly downwards like before. Now they have a weird delay when at a glance shows "flash light on" and won't return to the origin place when deactivating the flash light.

I actually think it is better that it records only the app I want it to record, since I didn't choose for recording the screen. So in the end, it only records this app and even cuts it perfectly when I close the app, right? Seems perfect to me. No more need to cut the video myself because I see myself navigating to the stop recording.

I really wish Google made the tiles to popup the additional menu when long-pressed only. And leave the "tap" for ON/OFF. This would really complete the Pixel imho. Great video there sir! 👏👏👏

I've noticed that when you listen to music and a new song starts, the title immediately starts showing on the AOD. Previously it took up to a minute, as it only updated together with the clock

Would love to see you do video and talk about certain Pixel 8 issues, like scrolling stutter in certain app like YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Spotify even Play Store. And most importantly issue that is present ever since release with Main camera and Auto Exposure on P8 series, which no one seem to talk about.Tapping the screen to focus on bright or shadow areas auto exposure adjusts accordingly depending on light intensity, but with Main Camera 1X it does not work, while other lenses or even when going by just a bit below or past 1X, like 0.9X or 1.1X it works, but on exact 1X it does not work. When in Pro Mode and Manual lens it seem to work at 1X. Would love to see you cover this issue, maybe finally Google would fix it.

The weather app still displays wrong [location] data on lock screen on my P8P. Was hoping the update would fix this .
