  • From what I understand, the reputation of Street Fighter: The Movie is based mostly on the arcade version developed by Incredible Technologies. It didn't play very well. But for the PSX and Saturn ports, Capcom essentially repurposed the Super SF2 Turbo engine instead of directly porting what I.T. had made. So if you play on console and think "hey this isn't too bad" it's because it's because it actually is a better game :)

4:23 The best sound EVER, i dont know why but the beginning sound of the PS1 gives me chills. No other console after the PS1 had this GREAT beginning sounds!!!

I absolutely love the Playstation's intro sound.
  • Nintendo did Sony dirty, and Sony responded by getting 4 out of 5 of the highest selling home game consoles of all time. Nintendo made an oopsie.

The original playstation intro is still my favorite. As a kid I would get so hyped after hearing it.

The PS1 really changed the game. First time I played it was with my cousins, who owned one. To this day I'll never forget the impression the intro left in me.

I remember with Ridge Racer, once the race had loaded, you can take out the disc and put in a music CD and you would be able to race with whatever music you wanted.

My dentist i went to as a kid had some bizarre idea to make going to the dentist fun and had a kick ass arcade room. He had either the same version of nba jam or a similar one in one of his cabinets... my fondest childhood memories are of playing that with my brother. And since he passed i have been trying to figure out what cabinet that was so i can buy one to bring home to my parents and sister, and see if we can reignite that decade long memory my sister and i have of gaming before, after, and in between appointments.

Ah weekend rentals, man those were the days.
  • @Lord_Deimos
My PS came with a disc that had the dinosaur and stingray demos along with Wipeout, Twisted Metal, Toshinden, Destruction Derby and Loaded. Great times.

Considering what we had at the time, Road Rash was a high quality gaming experience, in my opinion.
