At South Africa 2010, Uruguay were looking to qualify for their first FIFA World Cup semi final since 1970. They were up against an Asamoah Gyan-inspired Ghana, aiming to become the first African team to ever make the final four.

  • It took me 10 years to notice that the guy infront of Suarez was determined to do the same thing. 😂😂
  • @NotHaydenMoss
His Goal Keeper stats were raised in fifa 11 no joke
  • How many of you are here to rewatch this iconic match after today's 2022 world cup Uruguay vs Ghana match? That day Suarez left the field with smile and laughter, today he left crying like a kid...

“Suarez had single-handedly guided his team to a penalty shootout” Pretty sure he used both hands

'Suarez had single-handedly guided his team through to a penalty shootout'. He sure did. Single handedly.

I love how Suarez went "me??" after the red is shown to him.
  • one of the best matches ever to be telecasted alongwith some great first class commentary . hardcore thriller it was really.
  • Nobody talking about how the other player on the line literally tried to do the same thing hahaha
  • @nicobrinx
These are the things that cause war. To some, he is a villain, and to some, he is a hero. Incredible.

I'm here after Ghana and Uruguay both eliminated from the round of 16. Ghana was pretty much given up at 88th minute then Korea scored against Portugal. Ghana picked up their intensity, determined to defend and take down Uruguay with them. They did just that, sweet revenge on Uruguay, still sad to see what happened years ago though...

Even the other player was willing to make a hand save but he missed.

Maradona : I have the greatest handball in World Cup history. Suárez : Hold My Teeth
  • @rahul-141
Funny thing is the other uruguay player also trying to block the ball by hand

People will only talk about the handball, but how about those two goals! That Forlan free kick was insane.
  • Forlán was and will always be one of the best players in the world and in Uruguay’s history, I missed him this world cup

Honestly depending on how much time is left in the game, taking the red and the chance that perhaps the opposition will miss the PK is the best course of action
