Published 2024-07-20
While there's big dust outbreak coming off of Africa, don't let this hurricane season trick you into thinking that there won't be much. Because there are still signs pointing toward a hyperactive hurricane this season.

  • Thanks for your update David. I'm excited to see what the weather will be for the rest of the year. Just don't want anyone hurt!!❤
  • @johnlahr5828
Glad to get these posts from you again. I missed you a few weeks.
  • Great video David. Just because it has been "quiet", does not mean we will not have an active hurricane season. It is always "calm" before the storm. People should stay attention regardless and be prepared. The season has just begun and I am sure, like you, we will start seeing it getting pretty active soon.

Once this season kicks off in full, it's probably going to be insane. Thanks for the continuing updates!
  • If you look at the continent of Africa it’s hot and dry to the north, but it’s cool and moist to the south and when those two air masses compete with each other that produces thunderstorms, and when they come off the coast in the Sahal region of Africa those classes of thunderstorms can make a depression.
  • Hi David great explanation. Your knowledge on weather is beyond what I could ever try to explain. You are genius. I am situated in the Caribbean on a Northern Leeward island called SXM. And it looks like we are prone to get hit by one these storm this season. I will stay in the loop if anything comes my way. And will try to post some videos on a YouTube channel I will make. The weather patterns here have been very strange. I have never seen it like this.

What’s cool about Saharan Dust is if it never transpired, the desert would be overflowing with dust which would cause catastrophic damage. It’s just like snow dusting, if it didn’t transpired you’d get huge frozen blocks in mountainous regions. That’s why Antarctica is losing ice caps, because travel winds takes away the top layer but due to unseasonably warm air it’s not recirculating like the Saharan Desert. Believe it or not, dust particles is living species that helps keep the atmosphere cooler during the summer because without the dust ocean temperatures would be extremely high due to sun radiation. We’re not supposed to see any tropical development, because during this time period humidity is very low around the Atlantic Ocean due to dust storms being carried by trade winds. August is one of the most humid months of the year, especially mid August and early September. That’s why I advise all social media content creators to focus more on hurricane preparedness instead of forecasting because once the humidity levels rise over the ocean we’re not going to have time for discussion on hurricane preparedness. You’re doing a great job David, I see some YouTubers continue to focus on how many hurricanes will be developing this season instead of hurricane preparedness. We still have several weeks to prepare, because once it starts it’s going to be like a train. Most likely we’re not going to see any hurricane development until Mid-August so we need to remind everyone that hurricane preparedness saves lives and stop worrying about how many hurricanes develop. It looks like the season will be more focused on western tracks due to the Bermuda High. So the Caribbean, Bahamas and South East Coast needs to be prepared and stay alert. YouTubers who’s not very well versed in hurricane forecasting love talking about storms being slung into the Gulf Of Mexico because it gains visibility in the algorithms which causes people who live in the South East to let their guard down, especially how inactive it has been since Hurricane Dorian 2019 and its been almost 5 years since the south east has been threatened by hurricanes. That’s my biggest fear and concern, and I love David, Nazario and others keeping it honest and warning others about what’s going to happen in the next three to four weeks. Thanks David, sorry for the long comment but I had a lot to get out there. And remember everyone, if you’re living in a hurricane prone areas or even interested in purchasing a generator for your home. Please have it installed by licensed, bonded and insured electricians. Because wiring generators “Piggy Back” causes back feeds which travels up electrical lines and when your power is out and linemen trying to repair it, they can get seriously hurt and killed by feedbacks from illegal wired generators. Most generator dealers have qualified contractors who can install a “Switch” system in your home that would prevent feedbacks. That’s why power companies tell customers to turn off their main breaker if the power goes out, or if you’re evacuating due to hurricanes they ask that you turn off your breaker before leaving because that also causes feedbacks. Remember, linemen have families who love them and depend on them so do your part to make sure that these brave men and women make it home safely 😊
  • I predict all hell could break loose mid March and later. This is before I’m watching the video.
  • How does new Orleans Louisiana look for hurricane season 2024.louisiana water degrees was also 31 degrees I guess that what it means
  • @pm5206
Tampa Bay and north is the most concerning area. Hot water means potentially dangerous tropical cyclones for the area later this season. Be prepared now.
  • @Knaeben
It will be a quiet year. The dust will protect us.
