Hello everyone, I am back and today we'll be taking a look at another character. This time it's kirby! He may not be considered the greatest character in the game, but that does not mean he can't possess some interesting hitboxes. So join me today as we take a look at the pink puffball himself.

  • Kirby in a nutshell: this would be broken if he had more mobility
  • Kirby's Luma also differs from Rosalina's. It launches at a slightly higher angle, and has a bit less knockback growth, and it doesn't have negative shield damage making it a bit stronger against shields.

really getting creative with these alliterative titles, huh?

2:00 It's actually Kirby's Burning Ability, that only did that one move, before they combined it with fire, it's the same thing that happened with Freeze getting Merged with Ice and Throw and Backdrop getting Merged into Suplex.

I was actually expecting you to comment on the version of inhale that triggers when you inhale strong projectiles, as up to a certain percentage projectiles do not get converted into a small amount of hp with a lot of lag, but get spat out in the form of a star with size relative to the strength of the move inhaled. aside from the obvious great usefulness of inhale to copy abilities, I'm actually quite a bit frustrated as to how useless they made it be when it comes to most projectiles. DDD got a huge buff in his inhale to be a reflector and still he isn't top tier or anything. I don't think giving kirby a decent way of using it to regenerate health or reflect moves would make it broken, just... good.

Its amazing to finally see my main there! And since kirby is indeed pretty bad, but still misunderstood, here are a few clear ups: down tilt is strong, but does not combo into itself until some specific percents. The main thing is to focus on escaping the move and not punishing it, thats how you avoid getting clipped. stone is better than we give it credit for. If you are getting hit and your opponent overextends in the air, you can punish with stone. Kills as early as 40-60, they can't interrupt it, if you timed it well the only thing they can do is airdodge and then they can't punish you. reset the situation, disadvantage avoided/kill opportunity taken. its also very good for safely getting below ledge if you're scared of being swatted by aerials. He is right that fair kinda drops a lot, it makes it a VERY unreliable kill option beyond 120% ish. I know this wasn't supposed to be an accurate kirby video, but here you go nonetheless.

niche use for hammer flip, half charged aerial hammer flip insta-breaks shields. a lot of quirks but pretty funny if you get it

I absolutely adored the lil intermission during the inhale hitboxes, please never change man, have good holidays <3

I love Kirby. I really want Kirby to stop being held back purposefully. And I hope next game, older character get revamped. I think kirby using a lot more moves based on abilities would make their range better, as a character that slow shouldn’t have such small hitboxes. Maybe a very slight air speed increase, nothing crazy, and more disjointed ability moves.

Man, if Kirby was dlc or something, one of the stone random transformations would spike on the first few frames
  • @Rysunn
Things I have to say being a Kirby main: 3:41 yeap, fair drops a lot Bair and nair really are nice moves 5:22 the lack of any hitbox on up-b at all can screw Kirby frequently while recovery if you don't know how, and even then Also, up-b tents to drop a lot too, and only spikes at the beginning Down-b has armor in some point while transforming in to rock, at least when use it in air Copy abilities can be fun :)

Ah yes, just like Incineroar, looking at just the hitboxes, Kirby seems amazing.
  • @rexter_01
As a Kirby main, I'd love to see the cute puff ball with more mobility. He'd truly be more oppressive if he simply had that
  • @shadyoak1899
Ayy I appreciate how you used the superstar version of the rest area theme in the end.
  • i find stone to be better for fake outs, transforming twice if they want to punish landings. if it misses i usually wait for the opponent to use a hasty attack and punish but if they read you your dead.
  • @g.g.2519
I want to see the hitboxes of Rathalos as I am a fan of the Monster Hunter series
  • @jaimemir6028
Honey wake up another hitboxes video just dropped
