Magnolia pudding
1 pack of whipping cream, 35% fat
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
140 g granulated sugar, ⅔ cup
2 egg yolks
1/2 vanilla pod
400 ml milk, 1 + ⅔ cups
1 tablespoon butter
1 pinch of salt
10 baby biscuits, use any biscuits that you love.

For the serving of banana magnolia
3 bananas, sliced
Magnolia pudding
4 baby biscuits

For the serving of strawberry magnolia
20-25 strawberries, sliced
Magnolia pudding
White chocolate and pistachio wafers, any kind works great,
2-3 handful pistachios
Baby biscuits

To prepare the magnolia pudding, put flour, sugar and salt in the sauce pan and turn on the heat.
Add milk and vanilla beans by whisking. Continue cooking over medium heat.
When it thickens, take one or two scoops of the pudding and mix it with 2 egg yolks in a separate bowl to temper and prevent curdling.
Then pour the egg pudding back into the pot and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add the butter and melt it by whisking. When the butter melts, turn the heat off.
Pour the pudding in a bowl and whisk on low speed until it cools down. Then transfer it to the refrigerator to cool.
Whisk the cream with a mixer on high speed for 3-4 minutes until it is fluffy.
Then fold the cooled pudding into the whipped cream.
For the banana magnolia pudding, crack 10 baby biscuits and half of a banana which is diced to the base and mix. Put 2 tablespoons of pudding to the bottom of a bowl or cup. Stick some thin slices of bananas to the sides, put some more pudding, crack 1 baby biscuits and put again some pudding. Crack one more baby biscuit and banana slices on top.
To make strawberry magnolia pudding, put some sliced strawberries into the base and mix. Arrange strawberry slices at the bottom of the bowl, sprinkle some pistachios, pour some pudding, sprinkle pistachio, wafers and baby biscuits, repeat this to make two layers. Decorate it with pistachio, chocolate and strawberries and let it cool in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

When Burak Cakar jumps in for the second spoonful was the best moment. 😂🤣💕
  • Hi Refika, I just came back from Turkey. It’s a magnificent country, I loved it and the food. Cappadocia and Pamukkale are unique places. I had a dish with peppers and yoghurt. Could you please give us the recipe? I loved, loved, loved this dish that is the signature dish of Vahap restaurant in Antalya.
  • Banana pudding is a staple for those of us from the southern US! Thank you for bringing a very fresh version. I cannot wait to give it a try. Yum, yum, yum!

This dessert was one of my favourtie when living in Istanbul. Thank you for making it, I will try it at home now. Also, it is so good to see Burak in front of the camera with more chef duties as his warm and friendly smile makes everything so Turkish and enjoyable :)

How is your 35% cream so thick?! In Canada it’s liquid like table cream before beating.
  • So simple, yet so elegant. It’s basically a diplomat crème with lovely fresh fruits. It’s a trifle without the sponge cake. It looks so light and refreshing and no need to turn your oven on in the heat of the summer. Perfect!

  • Love your different recipes this one looks delicious. You all work together very well and make it fun to watch even your bloopers ..be safe and many blessings🐞🦬🐢🥰
  • @Drhello-nt3si
More bloopers please 😊♥️🇹🇷 Turkish Gaziantep Pistacchio is the best in the world. That will go really well with this dessert. Turkiye raises many things the best: e.g., garlic.
  • I have not thought about strawberries, I just made banana this morning for my husband.
  • Simple to make and very elegant! You guys seem so much fun to hang out with ♥️
