Military honours for the inaugural visit of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Rishi Sunak, to Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the Federal Chancellery in Berlin. The honorary company is provided by the 4th company (marines) of the guard battalion. The honor formation is led by Ms. Kapitanleutnant (Captain) Kruggel. The Bundeswehr Staff Music Corps is playing under the direction of Captain Holzschuh. Because of its history as a seafaring nation, the BMVg protocol had decided that the honorary company would wear a naval uniform. That's why the Navy's presentation march, which is rarely heard in Berlin, is played when the honorary formation is marched off. Another special feature is that the Inspector General, General Carsten Breuer, is in the delegation. The last time that an inspector general was in the delegation was during the state visit of the Spanish royal couple (   • Militärische Ehren für König Felipe V...   and    • Kranzniederlegung König Felipe VI. Ne...   ). The video shows the approach to the post of honor, the entry of the honor formation, the greeting of the Chancellor by the guard battalion, the arrival of the guest, the welcome of the delegations, the national anthems, the marching off of the honor formation and the march out of the honor formation.

    All praise to our (from USA) German allies and friends. Nobody does this ceremonial better.The Chinese are superbly disciplined but a bit mechanical. The Germans still look like free men and women. Alles Lob.

    Marinepräsentiermarsch🤩 Wunderbar! Marine-Ehrenkompanien gibt es leider viel zu selten, sieht klasse aus! War das übrigens das erste Mal, dass eine Frau die militärischen Ehren kommandiert? Kann mich an keinen Fall bisher erinnern...

    Zuvor hatte Ich nie eine Frau als kommandeur der Truppen von Wachbataillon gesehen. Einfach klasse 👍

    Good to see the Wachtbatallion in navy uniform with the relatively "new" lady conductor at the head of the band and a female officer commanding the parade. Much may well be made in some quarters here in the UK about the grandness of the parade given Brexit etc. but in all honesty the President of Botswana would be afforded the same ceremony ( and rightly so!)..Well done all..

    Das ist ja mal ein tolles Bild nur Marine für den Premier das wäre was für Winston Churchill als ehemaligen 1. Seelord gewesen. Auch schöne das heute mal nur Frauen das Kommando haben ist ja fast wie zuhause🙃😉nee Spaß aber das sieht schon super aus. Da freut sich der alte Panzer Fw. Vielen Dank
