Ah back in the days when TV networks used to show making of specials. You never see these on TV anymore. A very nice rarity.
  • This is why physical media should live on. You will never get deleted scenes, out takes and behind the scenes from Netflix

TINA TURNER IS SIMPLY THE BEST
  • I don't think anyone could of played the part better then Tina Turner.

Rest In Peace Tina Turner. You are awesome!
  • I was always astounded by Mel's vision and ability to direct such incredible films and it never occurred to me that him having worked with George Miller these 3 times might have given him quiet the insight into filmmaking.

@5:16 Motörhead ‘No Class’ is being blared out prior to the big chase shoot. I can think of no finer way to get everyone in the right state of mind. Smart Director.
  • Brings back the 80s for sure. Got the trilogy on the shelve .. i watch 'm almost annually.

Thanks for posting this - have it on VHS somewhere when I taped it off the TV at the time. Love that this still has the LWT logo at the start - classic.
  • This is awesome 👍😸👍 I call this a national treasure. This video has scenes, and seeing crowbar so peaceful it's awesome, and Tina Turner she is beautiful and she rocks. In other words everyone in this movie did an awesome job

the trivia is its the Metal Hurlant (Heavy Metal) comics guys directing this. George went to them before the first movie wanting to cut them in for a percentage if they let him call the movie "Heavy Metal", they didn't (ouch, that was a lot of money, i've heard 10% of profits on a low budget movie that ended up making 100% million). But they must have kept in touch and got to come and shoot this years later.

This is truly great to see this. THANKS!

no insect repellent, interviews in a bumpy moving car, the reporters act like fashion models... welcome to the 80's

The guy says merchandise is out of character with the film's integrity... Wow, how times have changed. Seems such a quaint point of view. Nowadays Marvel et al would bulldoze an orphanage to sell their products.

Never understood why the dvds and blurays don't include this stuff.
