Throughout the whole show, you realize how tough Stefan had it. You could argue he had it the worst. He was absolutely dragged through the mud with the whole Elena situation. He loved her with his whole being and had front row seats to watching her inevitably and slowly fall into his brothers arms.

The fact that Damon knew it was his brother's girl and still kept on trying at her! He knew it would hurt Stefen so much but he didn't care he just wanted Elena. Stefen on the other hand was happy about the fact that a girl actually loved Damon and left town so that they could be happy together. After being betrayed by 2 of his closest people he still does that! Stefen was such a good brother to Damon but Damon💔

I know that delena is endgame and it's everyone's favorite ship, but there's something so deep and pure about the way Stefan loved Elena. Damon can be the hot one, but Stefan was the most caring (Thanks for the likes guys, just want to let it clear that I respect delena!)
