"How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand... there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold."

Lord of the Rings is an important franchise. It made so many people childhoods, inspired many stories. I do believe that without these wonderful books and movies, we would not have as many stories around today. The movies are massive, I had to chose what to explore and obviously had to let some stuff behind.

I hope you guys will enjoy it.

One does not simply watch the lord of the rings without liking it

"My friends....you bow to no one." Kills me. Every. fucking. time.
  • "I can not carry it for you, but I can carry you! COME ON!" No other quote has hit me as hard.

"For frodo" It's just such a powerful line. Aragorn doesn't know if frodo is alive or not, but with that line, he shows that whatever has happened, he will always support frodo, that he'll stand by him(for him) forever. Such a beautiful line.
  • Deep in our heart, there's always something that cannot be replaced, LOTR trilogy lives forever.

This is an example of how to put the whole triology in 8 minutes. I enjoyed this video as much as the movie itself.
  • "Go back Sam! Im going to Mordor alone." "Of course you are, and im going with you!" It will always hit me

Theodon: 'No parent should have to bury their child.' - 2:36 - One of the most emotional lines I have ever heard spoken with so much truth behind its meaning.

"It's such a weight to carry." "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you." —Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee "What are we holding onto Sam?" "That there's some good left in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fightin' for." —Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee "Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf." "What about side by side with a friend?" "Aye, I could do that." —Gimli and Legolas #friendshipgoals

I was in 9th grade when the last movie came out on dvd so that night when everyone else in my family was asleep I stayed awake and watched all three movies and went to school with no sleep. Ended up falling asleep in my second period and teacher woke me up twice and asked “why are you so sleepy?” “I stayed up and watched all the LOTR last night” He laughed and let me be that period.

This is a masterpiece. I don't understand how you seamlessly wove all three movies together in a way that makes sense and it just so stunning. You included some of the best lines and some of the best shots of the whole trilogy! (Also thank you so much for using clips from the extended editions)

"In his heart, Frodo begins to understand, the quest will claim his life." I notice that almost everyone disregards this line in the end because, well he doesn't really die.. does he? But that's not the point. When you think about it.. once the war was over, once the ring was destroyed and the evil of Sauron along with it.... he went home. But things weren't the same anymore. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't go back to his ways. The wounds from his journey, physically yes, but mostly mentally, hurt too strong. So... he left Middle Earth.. and like Frodo said himself: "How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand... there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold." The quest DID claim his life.
  • "My friends, you bow to no one." The single most powerful and earned scene in any film. This trilogy is the reason I went into the film and storytelling industry.

    - i wish none of this have happened - so do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide so relatable in these days

Magical movies. Even after 17 years, it never ceases to amaze me, and to touch my heart. Since 2003, no movies or TV series, managed to make me feel this way.
