"The boy you trained, gone he is."

Incredibly proud to present my new Darth Vader tribute. Love the character, his story in the Star Wars universe, and most importantly Hayden Christensen. Super happy to see all the support he's actively receiving after his re-appearance in the Kenobi and Ahsoka series, well deserved and a long time coming. I mentioned this in my previous tribute and I still stand by these words - Vader is the reason I love Star Wars so much. Wanted to make a proper love letter to him for a while as I'm not satisfied with my first tribute and now, with all the skills and experience I have gathered over the last few years and with the newly released Ahsoka series, I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to do that. Used only live-action footage. Goes without saying that this video took a LOT of effort, but I enjoyed the process. Hope you all enjoy the result as such.

Headphones are highly recommended!

Anakin has the most tragic story in cinematic history. What could’ve been if he never was deceived by Sidious. He truly was the Chosen One.
  • @user-es1tg3dw8z
Hayden Christensen was chosen to play this role by the force. You feel every step of the transformation in his face and soul. Born to be Anakin...

My daughter is just old enough to start being interested in the Star Wars stories. She always asks me why Darth Vader is my favorite character. When she's a little older, I'll show her this, and she'll know.

When everyone else gave up on him Luke was willing to die to redeem his father. A true Jedi.
  • @MrDaveLuscombe
Someone needs to send this to Hayden Christensen. All the grief he got for his acting skills proved wrong in one 18 minute fan made video. Watched this way it truly shows how incredible Anakin’s journey was from beginning to end, and beyond.
  • @KEJAD1AN
“Be brave.. and never look back” - Shmi Skywalker Anakin really followed that in every choices he made.
  • @Kassadinftw
The redemption of Vader only comes as a direct result of Luke's refusal to give up on his father. Kenobi, even Yoda were unable to do that. I love the lightsaber battles, but as an adult I now realize that the wielding of the blades and being a jedi was more than just power or skill. Those colors of green and red really represented the greater battle of evil vs. good, and it's fitting that the victory doesn't come as a result of the blade or the power of Luke. The light side wins because of Luke's refusal to condemn and call to his father to be redeemed. It is never too late to start doing what's right, to turn and be healed. This theme is what makes the story so great and timeless.

Bravo. A true masterpiece that perfectly encapsulates the emotion and tragedy of Star Wars' best character. Well done.
  • @triumph_cv
Disney has lost sight of what Star Wars means. It is this. Beautiful work.
  • We need a full blown Vader film. Him chasing Jedi throughout the galaxy.
  • @aliray7833
Hayden Christian is Vader and he embodies the transition absolutely perfectly. The conflict, the torment, the horror and the dread. All were conveyed so well, and the chemistry with Padme was a very believable catalyst, I mean who wouldn’t want to give up everything for someone you love as much as that.

Typically never comment on Youtube. This was a truly epic masterpiece, can't remember the last time I was entertained for 18 minutes straight in this type of high pace material. You have an ability that Hollywood lost long time ago. Amazing stuff!
  • Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, the most badass yet tragic heroes/villains of all time!
  • A kid, a youngling, a padawan, a hero, a friend, a warrior, a jedi, a killer, a father, a sith, but never a master
  • @lynx910
"Have you ever considered that we may be on the wrong side?" - that line coming from Padme was so on point!
  • When Obi Wan says "I'm sorry for all of it", I have the feeling that real emotions are going through both Hayden and Ewan
  • This video, without a doubt, represents the most remarkable depiction of Anakin Skywalker and his transformation into Darth Vader that I have ever come across. It captures the essence of Anakin's extraordinary journey, leading from a heroic figure to a formidable villain, and ultimately finding redemption to become good once again. I cannot stress enough how this portrayal resonates with me on a deep level, forging an even stronger bond with the Star Wars universe. While every aspect of the Star Wars saga is undeniably awe-inspiring and enjoyable, it is the legacy of Anakin Skywalker that stands above all else. His story, as portrayed in this video, is a testament to the complex and multifaceted nature of his character. It takes us back to his early years, portraying him as a wide-eyed child, brimming with untapped potential and innocence. As the scenes seamlessly transition, we witness Anakin's growth as he embarks on the path of a Jedi apprentice, his destiny intertwined with the unfolding events of the Clone Wars. One aspect that truly captivates me is the inclusion of Anakin's own apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. Their bond is beautifully portrayed, showcasing the mentorship and camaraderie that develops between them. Through their shared experiences, we witness Anakin's guidance and the profound impact he has on shaping Ahsoka into the remarkable Jedi she becomes. The video masterfully weaves in scenes of their interactions, highlighting the depth of their connection. But the video doesn't stop there; it goes beyond the confines of Anakin's apprentice and delves into the relationships he forms with other significant characters. We are treated to glimpses of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Padme, individuals who play pivotal roles in Anakin's life. These scenes serve as poignant reminders of the love, loss, and sacrifices that shape Anakin's journey. As the narrative unfolds, we are transported to the tumultuous era of the Galactic Civil War. It is here that Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, is confronted by those who were once close to him. Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Luke, in particular, stand as powerful symbols of the conflict that exists within Anakin's soul. The video skillfully portrays their emotional encounters, showcasing the internal struggle that Anakin faces as he grapples with his past and the choices he has made. What truly sets this video apart is how seamlessly it merges all these intricately woven scenes together. The transitions are flawless, creating a cohesive and visually stunning experience. Every frame serves a purpose, painting a vivid picture of Anakin's journey and the profound impact he has on the galaxy.
