The “whatever the hell that was” sounded just like the Windows 3.1 error alert sound 😂
-
This is kinda interesting!!
-
Did you see the action retro video with NT for PPC now running on native G3 Mac?
-
This is amazing. I can get the setup to start off your NT351 ISO but not the NT4 ISO, it just keeps saying it can't find the file for some reason.
-
thanks for the config, i was almost confused on how to setup dingus to work also i tried booting the arc firmware iso alone on PearPC and it appears to be unable to find a boot file tho, generally it still has a lot of limitations and is greatly outdated, hope someone could continue it lmao

So like I said I can at least get NT351 to work running your build of dingusppc on windows, but I tried to compile dingusppc on linux and it won't recognize imacg3 as a machine type.

351 installed but I don't know how to ctrl-alt-del to log in hehe, still fun!
-
i almost feel cursed, because it's literally not booting for me at all, no matter what i do, even when i try to specify the device from the OpenFirmware command line 😭
-
Next @NCommander making a video on this and compile some sound drivers

I got NT 3.51 Server working on my G3 Blue and White using this bootloader.

"fantastic story behind it" MS actually implemented NTFS direct formatting in text setup... in Cairo, they wanted to format directly to OFS and NTFS just came along with the ride... really annoying that autofmt didn't make it into NT 4, I had to code a custom NTFS formatter for my ARC firmware partitioner... and that's not 100% correct, autochk in text setup will detect errors and require reboot afterwards... of course it ended up in windows 2000, but still a shame it didnt get into NT4 when it was basically done at the time...
