I have used a looper pedal at my solo acoustic gigs for years now. Creating a loop on guitar is easy and is a great way to make your practice more efficient, and your shows more entertaining. I will be demonstrating in this video how to create loops on 3 easy guitar songs that we all know and love. After this video you will have the basic building blocks to get out there and start looping on your own and bringing your solo acoustic gigs or any guitar gig to the next level.

Concise, informative, simple, fun, with some witty humor. In one word... Motivational
  • Great little gizmo. I plugged a minimixer in and ran drum machine, voice, guitar and a jews harp to try and get some spaghetti western type things going. It was so funny cos a random geezer passed by and said " Gimme drink" so I looped it and played it which had the 25 strong audience in stitches peeing themselves laughing....gimme....gimme...drink drink.

New subscriber. This is easily the best Looper lesson I’ve seen. A horse with no name is a great starting point. I speak a someone who has struggled with this. Thanks.

Frank, I love that your channel is here to “get us gig ready”. Currently my idea of a gig is playing with friends and family. For example, this Summer I plan to play again at my cousin’s annual family bash. We usually have drums, bass, keys and my brother in law playing rhythm guitar and singing. He is the only one truly gig ready. Your video turned on a light bulb for me. I can use my looper to practice the guitar fills and layers that I try to add songs in the set list. Such a simple idea but I never thought about it. I was just occasionally using the looper as a something to improv to. Thanks again and keep the content coming✌️
  • I've always found looper pedals to be complicated - thank you for your simplified lesson. It was genius of you to use 2, 3, 4 chord songs for demo. Thanks!

Thank you Frank. Great channel, awesome work especially it's what you love and enjoy doing.
  • Thank you so very much, I am an Old newbie to playing guitar. I learned 4 years ago at age 54 and love it! I have a lot of gear and hope to be playing for friend, family, and seniors and children in hospitals. I want them to enjoy music and feel the healing power of the music that has helped me in many ways and is still part of my healing process!!

Very good demo. I'm recently the proud owner of a Martin D-18. I've been playing an electric guitar for 50 years and have finally decided to learn fingerpicking on an acoustic guitar. I've also been playing by myself and I wanted to find a way to accompany myself. Your introduction to looping has me excited. Thanks for the help. I'm hooked on looping.
