Ultra-Orthodox Jews called up: Israeli govt begins issuing conscription notices

Last month the supreme court ended a years-long exemption from compulsory service, on religious grounds.
The ruling has been met with opposition and protests.
The military is due to issue a further 2,000 notices to ultra-Orthodox Jews in the coming weeks.

From my understanding, there are a number of Haredi groups which not only oppose Zionism, but also do not recognize the State of Israel. Among them are the Hasidic sects of Shomer Emunim (and its offshoots, Toldos Aharon, and Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok), Mishkenos HoRoim, and Dushinsky.
