Excellent effort and way to suffer and still complete the event! Bravo.

Well done on finishing the race! I've got my first 70.3 in less than 7 weeks time... Feeling nervous already.

Nice one Colton (found you through the Youtube triathletes FB page) - good video and well done on the race, despite some difficulties in place! Well done!

Congrats! This was my first half as well.. I definitely learned nutrition is huge... I came out of the water a bit slower (around 43 minutes) but then did a 2:39 bike split, but my run I was experiencing the same things.. cramping really bad, bonked and was dehydrated, ended up with a 2:40 half marathon (nearly 50 minutes slower than my standalone half marathon) for a 6:17.. I'm racing it again in May hoping to go sub 5:45.

it was my first 70.3 there that weekend and The run killed me. My transition times were extremely slow. Just wanted to take it all in. I'll be doing it again next year. keep up the good work .
  • Cool video! Congrats on your first Ironman! It is an awesome feeling getting to the red carpet next to the finish line, isnt it? When are you doing the next one?

Great job! I was in PCB a few months ago, saw the swim area at Pier Park. I couldn't imagine swimming in the ocean, seems alot more difficult than lake. Do you have any advice for training on the bike? I signed up for my 1st 70.3 the end of the year. Bike is my weakest area. Great job!
  • Just need to incorporate twice a month a brick session. Right after the bike go for a run. Build up up to 40 min. Your legs will be fine. Just got to practice that part. Good job for your race. Sydney

Get that salt in before you start sweating thats the key my man! Do a sweat test ;) Keep going onward and upward!
  • You cramp because you don’t have enough salt in your body you can get salt tablets you can eat during the bike

Did the 2021 race really start at 11:00?! I never heard of such a late start!
