I lost my husband to cancer 2 years ago we had been married a year and a half to the day when he died. The opening line "So what's the past for? I'll need it if love don't last long, you can run around infinite in my head" breaks me.

I could listen to this over and over again.

I have been a professional musician and music teacher for longer than I care to say. I was influenced by the great renaissance in music by The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, etc. I gave up on music during the punk era and never really regained any interest or heard anything that I thought was important, until now. I recently discovered Dermot Kennedy and realized there is something out there worth listening to. The voice, lyrics, melodies, structure of his songs have given me faith that there is something new worth listening to. I am loathe to use the word 'genius', but his songs are something else. And he comes from a place just twenty miles away from me. May you reach the heights and recognition you deserve.

dermot kennedy is gonna be huge. Powerful voice, amazing song writing. All the stuff before his debut album is just as amazing. I recommend all of it. Every single song.

Wish Dermot would get the recognition he deserves, best singer i've come across since I first found Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith! I love all of his songs but this has got to be my favourite, literally had it on repeat since I came across it whilst studying <3

This just takes me back to the days where I had all my family together with me under one roof and the times when we would have a movie night or family outings. Now I’m 19(the youngest) and in college alone and I hardly see any of my siblings now. Man I miss those times 😅🥺
