Actually, Rhaenyras point in the argument regarding the step stones was that the cost to defend the region would pale in comparison to the cost of the war that would come as a result of leaving it undefended. She is trying to say that her idea in the long run is more financially stable, and it shows that she is thinking logically about the situation and being realistic, whereas Alicent is just playing the antagonist and truly has no idea what she's talking about.

I cant believe they already killed Harwin strong, wanted to see more scene between him and rhaenyra
  • Vhagar's acting is top tier this week! That scene with Laena....so emotional!! 😭
  • @christypassy
Man, Harwyn fighting Criston, kissing the baby, kissing Rhaenyra with his eyes, leaving and then burning to death is the most start to end character run-down I have ever seen. All in ONE episode. Damn!
  • @RenegadeLK
How Leana said Dracarys and the dragon hesitated in the end and still did as he was told from his rider. Amazing. One of the most impressive scenes I have seen so far!
  • I wish we were given more scenes of Harwin Strong and Laena Valeryon before they died because although their deaths are impactful to the story, I feel like I would be more attached to the characters if they were given more screen time, further making their deaths have more of an impact on me and/or the audience

I’m so sad about Harwin! Episode 3 when he was the only one smiling at Rhaenyra, I was sold and wanted more of him. Wish he had more screen time.
  • It’s easy to critique Visarys for being in blatant denial about his grandkids, but “Mr. In Control” Tywin had the same problem.

Ok no one is going to question how sir Cristin remains in the king s guard despite killing someone at a royal wedding ?? And sir arwin get expelled for beating him up ? I mean ?? Did I miss something? And lenor just greets him like : hey buddy ?

I love how Criston Cole is behaving like the usual rejected guy 😂 Seriously tho, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say that the pain of losing his honor, which was all he had, really did affect him tremendously. After all he admitted to his "sin" readily knowing he'd be executed. But seriously how naive is he? He calls her a spoiled cnt like he didn't enjoy banging her too. It's his own goddamn fault for expecting the heir to the throne to abandon everything for a guy. He should've settled for Harwin's role.

I can't believe they didn't give us anything for Laena and Rhaenyra being good friends. My friends who haven't read the book do not care about any of these deaths and it makes me so sad the show won't spend any time on character development.

Criston Cole and alicent are both the champions for longest pettiness on screen so far. Both going to start a war because of a one night stand
  • I liked the inference that Haelena is a Seer, muttering "he'll have to close 1 eye" after Alicent tells Aemond "You'll have a dragon one day, I promise"; alluding to Aemond becoming Aemond One-eye the day he claims Vagar. It would make sense if she was a Seer, she does end up going crazy later on like many of her ancestors did and kin will. Usually driven mad by visions but tragedy would do it too I imagine.
  • I'm renaming the Greens to the Bitters. Ser Cole has no one but himself to blame for "sinning". He didn't have to sleep with Rheanyra, they even showed how he weighed that decision with that long pause before he put his cloak down in episode 4. If he wasn't ready to be her boy toy, why did he agree so easily? Why did he even think that she would discard her duty for him? He's known her for how many years, he knows how important it is for her to become Queen. Dude assumed things and then got butthurt when his expectations weren't met and let his emotions dictate his actions...even ten years later when he goads Harwin Strong. He's probably jealous too because Rheanyra hasn't discarded Harwin Strong, even after 10 years (I think Harwin and Rhaenyra loved each other just from the way they looked at each other during their brief moments together). Alicent is also bitter over the fact that while she has to serve the old and decaying King, Rhaenyra gets to do whatever she wants with handsome young knights. I'd have no problem with this jealousy except she masks her hatred for Rhaenyra as being honourable and just and pretends that she isn't going to benefit from it. Not to mention the way she acts so catty at every opportunity. Larys also probably bitter/resentful at his brother and even father because he has a clubfoot and I can do a whole psychoanalysis on how that most likely gave him an inferior complex because his father and brother are everything a Strong should be and he isn't. Add on top of that he is a second son and that makes a perfect recipe for the betrayal. Larys was dealt the same hand as Tyrion and yet he did not love his brother as much as Tyrion loved his. Sad, considering how it all ends for House Strong

Crazy how fast you get these videos up without sacrificing any detail or production. Kudos 🎉

I loved Harwin in the short amount of time we got with him. I was so shocked he was killed this quickly. I knew the fire was coming but sad it was this fast. He was so lovely with the boys and with Rhaenyra. Also when I remembered little Laena talking about Vhaegar to the king I got so emotional.
  • Was sad to see Ser Harwyn his Dad and Laena Valeryon get burned alive, this show is starting to Match GOT when more Bodies pile up, also the Speech with Larys Strong at the End reminded me of Littlefinger's "Chaos is a ladder" Speech.

Dope episode! and as always very entertaining breakdown. That little weasel Larys is problem.. I took it as a threat to the Queen when he said "I'm certain you'll reward me when the time is right"... even tho this gives her the opportunity to bring her father back into the fold... can't wait until next week
