There was a severe cold warning but that didn't stop me from doing some camping this week. I did my first multi-night stealth camping trip, and it was strangely relaxing to not have to pack up after the first night. I used the propane Mr. buddy heater to keep warm and the hunting blind to blend into the woods as good as possible.

I dont think I could ever explain to my friends why watching Steve stealth camping calms me after work.
  • @dclikemtndew
Saying "It's warm already" while you can still see your breath is the most canadian thing i've ever seen
  • For my vote, keep the beer donations, let us participate in that vicarious way. And don't worry about episodes being edgy or fresh or new. We just enjoy you doing your thing. It doesn't even always need to be stealthy. Just low tech camping with Steve makes us very happy. Please, please, stop worrying about these things.
  • One of the best parts of these videos is when steve checks out if his campsite is visible cus he gets so stoked when its well hidden 😄

We are officially one step closer to "stealth living with steve"

Quote of the week "it's only borderline dangerous." Another stealth camping gem.
  • Can tell it's cold by the sound of the snow underfoot. That sorta squeaky styrofoam sound. Northerners know. Sends chills up the ol' spine.
  • "This is a great camping meal" You can tell he means it too, this guy is so dope.

I love that Steve is trying to be as stealthy as possible but his car beeps when he locks it, announcing his arrival to the neighbourhood.

Steve, don't stress about trying to outdo the last video and keep pushing the envelope. We watch you because it's ordinary, accessible and in a different world we could picture ourselves doing what you're doing. Keep it simple, that's why we love you. Don't worry too much about trying to find more radical, outrageous places - just hunker down anywhere and we'll watch.

I like to watch steve before bed and imagine myself sleeping outdoors like he does. Helps me relax and fall asleep.

Steve should put out a his own stealth camping cookbook. :)

Nothing wrong with beer donations, it's a simple way to let viewers be involved with the channel. It feels more genuine and down to earth than a patreon.
  • Steve, almost every YouTuber has Patreon. YOU have beer donations and the way you tell it that was the fans idea. Don’t mess with what works. People who watch understand. Thank you for taking us away from all the troubling news. Stealth on my friend.
  • The first video I saw was the tragic heartbreaking news of your loss. I now am catching up and exploring your videos. Now, I am a 68 year old woman( from the US, live here too) . Not a camper at all, must admit I lean more to comfy yet modest rentals of typical modern comfort. I also am wheelchair bound with one leg. I share this to say I marvel at how fascinating, educating even, caring, …so many things that your videos are proving to be for me. I also enjoy learning more bits and seeing areas of Canada as I had hoped to have traveled A LOT More in beautiful Canada than I have. Thank you for all you do, and I am so glad I found the channel and subscribed. Very well done and you are a natural narrator, a documentarian . Ongoing wishes for comfort and peace ..what one can possibly carve out in your path.

Hey Steve, I have never commented on line before, but I just wanted to say, that people watch your videos for YOU, not where, when, why, or what! YOU are, the the reason people come back/suscribe it doesn't matter what you do! your content with you , being genuine , is the compelling part!
  • Steve, something to remember about 99% of the people driving are not looking for someone/something hiding out in the woods. Heck most drivers are not even watching where they are going.
  • @Clint_L33twood
Steve is basically the urban Les Stroud. Steve's videos also coincidentally give me the same nice calming feeling I get when I watch Survivorman.
  • The smile on your face when you took a bite of that casserole was priceless.
