The fact that the American people are all divided is disturbing. The trust in the system was lost many moons ago.

If the guy we know about was the only shooter then it clearly wasn't a coordinated attempt by either side. Whether you think the goal was to kill Trump or to deliberately cause a non fatal injury, his equipment and planning were unsuitable for either. My personal theory is that this was just a high profile version of a mass shooting. He decided he wanted to die but had no legacy, so he tried to kill somebody more important than he was so his name would be remembered. It's for that reason that I'm completely on board with only referring to him by the nickname Ree Tardy Oswald. Glad Trump survived, the approaching civil war might have started sooner if he'd died that day. Rest in Peace Corey Comperatore. His last act in life was protecting his family and he deserves to be remembered.

I think it’s very realistic because not everyone would be in on it and those who aren’t would be too afraid to say something wasn’t right.
