    Thank you for that. When I first entered college my history instructor said Assyrians were extinct. I quickly stood up and corrected him as I am 90% Assyrian and 10% Armenian. This was in 1965.

    Great video.

    Ashurbanipal is also famous for the great library he founded in Nineveh. He tried to collect all the books (clay tablets) he could. Alexander attempted to imitate him later with his great library in Alexandria, Egypt.
    Very much of what we now know of Sumer, Akkad, and Assyria comes from the clay tablets collected and preserved so well by Ashurbanipal.

    I am half ethnical assyrian, from my father, he is from tur abdin, this people are the remanents of the assyrian empire, we are turoyo and speak neo aramean, no mix with the arab invasors, christianisty is the religiĆ³n our take in 2th century, I be pround of my lineage culture, we dont die, the cultures never die
