Limited horse tours due to excessive heat in South Carolina: How carriages are keeping cool

It's no secret Monday was a dangerously hot day across the Lowcountry, with many people under Excessive Heat Warnings, but how are the horses with some of the carriage tours downtown taken care of in this heat?

Tommy Doyle, the General Manager of Palmetto Carriage Works, says they start early in the day, caring for the horses and taking every precaution to ensure the animals stay safe in this heat.
