I feel the same about Mother's Day. I am adopted, and my adoptive mother died before I was 18 months old (so I went "0 for 2"). Even though I had a nanny/tutor for ten years (ages 5-15), it's not the same as a mom. I am lucky that i have literally the best dad that ever lived and I feel even more special in that he chose me to be his daughter. But I certainly am jealous of all the wonderful mom-daughter relationships I see on social media and I love following the moms on insta, as I do yours. Someday I'll be a mom and I will definitely have a daughter (or many daughters) because I will adopt them. I cant wait!
