One of the biggest football stories of the 2023 NFL season came out of Green Bay, as Quarterback Jordan Love led his Packers team to the postseason, knocking off the NFC favorite Dallas Cowboys on the road. In his first year as a starter, Love surpassed expectations and rallied a young team to be one of the last standing at the end of the season, coming up just short of playing in the NFC Championship. Love is sitting with Ryan, Channing and Fred to talk about his past year, quieting the doubters while building on the success of this year, free agency moves and Jordan takes us back to how his football journey started, sharing life events that made him question if playing quarterback was even something he could do.

When the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers’ successor in 2020, they selected Jordan Love out of the state of Utah with the 26th overall pick, and although he was expected to come in as a backup, Jordan understood the responsibility of the long lineage of great QBs in Green Bay history that he was following and the unique opportunity in front of him to learn from one of the game's best to ever do it, in Rodgers.

This past season, getting his opportunity to start after Rodgers left for NY, Love made his position known that he was no longer the back up as it was the start of a new era in Green Bay with a fresh style of QB play under center. Jordan let his on field play do the talking for him, quieting any doubters that he could be the next great Packers QB. Jordan threw for over 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns in his first season starting and led the Packers to the NFL Playoffs where they knocked off the Dallas Cowboys in an upset victory on the road, garnering league wide respect and earning top honors as one of the best QBs in the game. Coming up short against the 49ers one game shy of the NFC Championship, Jordan looks at the missed opportunities and certain plays he wishes he had back but knows it only makes him better prepared to take on adversity going forward. He shares the highs and lows of the 2023 season and also what he learned from playing behind Rodgers and how he used it to help him become a better leader on the field and a threat to opposing defenses.

In 2023, game by game the football world could see Jordan’s confidence increase while putting up MVP caliber numbers with a young receiving core around him. Jordan talks about the team's progress and how to build off of it this season and is excited with Green Bay's new free agency pickups that only makes the team stronger. Jordan is confident about becoming the team to beat in the NFC North and uses adversity to propel him forward, becoming better each time on the field.

No stranger to loss and setback, at 14 years old, Jordan lost his father, which left a hole in his world but he shares how instrumental his mother and three sisters were in his upbringing and the core of his world now. As a young player, he relied on a strong support system of family and coaches during the process of mourning his dad's sudden passing, but found strength in the adversity and learned to turn his pain into focus of living out his football dream in his father's memory.

Expectations continue to rise around Love and the Packers and Jordan welcomes the pressure to shed the underdog stigma and show the world his team deserves to be respected as one of the top competitors in the NFL.

You saw this year, he wasn’t ever gonna let the game get him down, no situation was too big, too much, he just stayed calm and confident. I’m so proud of him, and I’m so happy he’s a Green Bay Packer but we know as great a player as he is, he’s a better human being.

No moment will ever be too big for him, he already overcame that at 14 years old.

Lifelong Packers fan of 40 years and i couldn't be more excited to see what the future holds for this young man and the team gutey has assembled around him. When an entire fanbase that's watched 30 years of HOF QB play from Favre and then Rodgers says that Jordan Love IS the guy you might wanna listen to them. GPG 🧀

Very solid dude. Amazing first year as starter. Whooped Dallas behind. I’m keeping my eyes on him. Also he got Jacobs now too

As a life long fan of the Packers I will always remember the "lean" years. I half expected to be experiencing some of those days again when Jordan was drafted. Who in their right mind thought the Packers were drafting another QB to replace a legend. The Favre to Rodgers transition taught me as a fan to have a wait and see approach before judging this "kid" from Utah St. before he ever took the field.
  • The Packers swept the Bears and are still undefeated against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Still carrying that tradition on, now we just gotta reclaim the NFC North crown!!!

I was blessed to be able watch J Love play in Santa Clara. It was my first time getting to see the Pack play in person, I literally teared up when I saw the team come onto the field. I sat surrounded by Niners fans which were pretty cool, they asked me what jersey I was rocking under my jacket, I told them J Love of course, I’m from Bako too and I gotta support my local boy 💯. They thought it was super cool. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
  • Hes made for the nfl the calm demeanor the decision maker the humbleness
