“Rock bottom isn’t when you experience the worst moment of your life, rock bottom is when you change” - Shia, those are some words my man.

Saw Shia last week outside Erewhon (grocery story) hand over a big bag of groceries to a family with a sign asking for help. It was in a back lane away from everyone. Didn't want anyone to see and he walked off quickly. Just a random act of kindness and compassion. Sounds and looks like this dude is on a good path and is helping people. Respect!

THIS is how a person makes things right. He's human. He's flawed. He's learning, and he's real. Thank you Shia. (And Jon)

My father is a Recovering Alcoholic...he's definatly put us through some shit. I sent him this video and my father broke down into tears, and IMMEDIATLY put himself in rehab. Today marks the first year he's been sober doing the AA Meetings, and found God. Thank you both for being real ones and saving my father

Shia spoke 99% of the time. He needed this, big ups to Jon for giving him this platform. Seems like a solid good dude too

I saw Jon posted this on his Instagram and it was interesting to see how triggered people were in the comments section, outraged that an abuser was being given a platform. I highly doubt these people watched the interview. Personally, as a woman who experienced physical and emotional abuse at the hands of a man I found this conversation healing, and I’m incredibly grateful you shared this. THIS is masculinity, THIS is how we heal masculinity. When men are given safe spaces to be radically authentic, raw and vulnerable they heal, and we all heal. I don’t wish for the demise of the man who abused me, I wish for his redemption, I wish for him to heal, so that he can be a better man and treat women with the love and respect that they deserve. Can’t wait to see more open and raw conversations likes these.

I'm almost speechless with how raw & inspirational this was. Shia's a real one.

Being a genuine listener is much harder than to be an elegant speaker. Jon's listening skills should be in a textbook for How to Listen.
  • @burp1361
I like how Jon never interrupts him. I think Shia has more wisdom than people give him credit for
  • Can we just take a moment to appreciate Jon Bernthal for being such an amazing listener. Everyone says they are a good listener but actually most of them aren't but Jon here remembers every small details about Shia's stories. God bless Jon & Shia too ❤

This was the best interview I have EVER watched in my entire existence. Ever. As a survivor of DV it is healing to see him do better. Bad choices don't make you a bad person. Mistakes are human. Change is a choice. Who are we to deny this man the opportunity to make changes for his life. We aren't Masters of this Universe. Worry about your own path. Change is an opportunity for EVERYONE. Rich or Poor. Sending love and light to Shia LaBeouf. Thank you for sharing your story. ❤️
  • No interruptions, no audience no live band, Just a pure honest one on one conversation between grown ass men

"I know it's gonna be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." Thank you guys so much for such an incredible conversation.

  • As a survivor of DV from a spouse with addiction, I’m so thankful this exists and the Shia exists. That people who have struggled in these areas know that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and there’s help out there. His past being sketchy makes him an incredible mouthpiece for recovery and healing. I’ve always loved Shia on the professional front but absolutely adore him speaking transparently and taking accountability. Thank you for this interview. ❤
  • @BattleHog
I’m not watching this as a Shia fan or a John fan. I’m watching this as human being trying to learn and listen from other people’s experiences and I’m getting a lot from this.

"Freedom without guidelines and limitations is a f*cking madness". That hit hard
  • @mcradical6283
"It's the first time I understood love, cos i had nothing to give" - that's a profound way to describe love, thank-you Shia and Jon

I saw an excerpt of this interview on another social media platform, and was so mesmerized that I had to seek out the entirety of the episode. I think this is one of the most profound, redemptive, enlightening pieces of work. I think it all reached us for a reason and that everyone has a different message to take away from this, and I think that’s really beautiful.
