  • If any of you watching ever go to Midgardsblot and see me there, please say hi :)
  • Would be cool to see the hiking trails throughout scandinavia be spotlighted more than the viking locations.
  • Your appearance is defo how i imagined pagan larper cool video keep it up!
  • i didn't know that's how viking interest got started, makes sense! and i haven't heard much about Slavic paganism so that sounds interesting ^.^
  • Interesting video, i think your thoughts make sense. Generally i dont think scandinavians think too much about vikings other than as a historical novelty, because it was really a long time ago. There is an annoying phenomenon of right-wing groups sort of adapting a romantacized view of "vikings" as a nationalistic aesthetic, its very dumb. I think its fine normally when vikings are used as a theme/setting and heavily romatacized/fantacized in media (how do you spell these words help) because its usually obviously not trying to be historically accurate or anything.
  • 1. I love to see a trans person talking about not only trans matters; for me, this enriches and eases the process of integration to the normal processes of society; academy, for example. Excellent. 2. It would be nice if I descended from Iah-hotep, or Imhotep; I love "egiptian" things but, probably, I don't. 🥲 That's strange, but I think maybe the wannabism about our supossed ancestors, and cultural stereotypes, are inherently human, but they could be used for good if well managed. For example, when I played Titan Quest Ragnarok, I was waiting for a pure viking tale, but first, the game surprised me with a whole way centered in celtic cultures and lifestyles; at fist I was disappointed, but eventually I loved it, because I learned Europe is more than Skyrim (Hahahaha), and now I like more the celtic part than the final "viking" part (even with the strange dark nature cult of the plot (I don't know if something like this existed in real life... do you?). Maybe scandinavian govenments could use the viking bait to show the whole and fascinatig cultures around the vikings, in space and time, maybe they just should be more... strategic. But, anyways, your video makes a statement, and I consider it very valuable. Stereotype is not bad (at first), but the whole culture can be invisibilized if it's too powerful; good luck.
