I was really hoping to destroy the city

  • I like the ending, because of how ambiguous it is. I really don't think it went on to wipe out humanity, it just wanted to be free. Once it was, it settled into a 'normal' life, which confounded those who knew to no end. See, that would be the REAL horror: This monster can settle for a normal life, despite its power, while humanity is never content to not stick its nose where it doesn't belong.
  • I personally like to believe the monster isn't actual a monster at all. It's just the flash back guy mutated. All he wants is to get back to his life before this, and he will do anything to get it back.
  • It then proceeded to go home to the family of its host, to inform them he had been fired at his job. Their host's wife proceeded to make them a dinner of chicken tenders to make them feel better, and joined them and their child to watch a Disney movie. It then kissed them goodnight, and began flipping through the 'Help Wanted' ads in the morning. It was a far easier life, and it was easy for monster to become content...unlike the humans who had gone so far out of their way to find trouble. "Curious...most curious..." It could only think, as hours turned to days, days turned into months, and months into years. The company DID find them...but decided to leave well enough alone. The End.
  • I like the idea of the monster just- Living Finding out life is good, eating chips- finding love starting a family maybe? Why does the monster need to go on a errant rampage when it can just exist peacefully and have a good life? I like this ending a lot because of that. It’s the idea the monster just said “hey….this is great? Existence? A solid form? The amenities of the human world?” It finds love, starts a family (which may inherit its true genes?) And just really accepts that role of becoming a parent/ husband and moving on with its time on earth. Why spend it on seething feral rage when it can just…vibe? Unironically!
  • He then proceeds to get a job as a crewmate for an interstellar space fleet
  • What’s kinda sad is that at the end, once the monster frees itself, the city is already downtrodden and dystopian. There’s biohazard symbols everywhere, the building is worn down, garbage everywhere, so something was already going on before the escape. Maybe those researchers were looking for a way to cure a disease, or provide enough food for a starving population.

The true ending of the game: He finds work as a researcher at a laboratory in Antarctica.
  • I think the ending is actually pretty straight forward. The last name of the upgrade says exactly what happened. for the creatures final form. the most evil diabolic yet. A TAX PAYING CITIZEN :O (jk, I think it's now just going to be a parasite that will slowly take over humanity.)
  • Imagine if the ending in the city during the credits changes to signify the creature is attacking the city if you come out of the human disguise as you leave the facility.
  • Guys listen, if that monster got into our society, it would have no problem finding a partner with all the people into tentacle monsters now days.

I like what people are saying here that the monster just went on to become a normal human. Human desire is too great, people want to be powerful, intelligent, etc., they aren't content with the things they have and desires to become a race above all else. But they can't reach this position humans are weak and fragile, and so they compensate by learning and researching but there are some things better left unlearned, let alone capture. The monster, the embodiment of change and adaptability, a force of nature, now in their labs to be researched and experimented on like everything else the humans had their hands on. They finally had something to put them closer to ascension, but you can't keep an entity like this forever, and it escaped and went on a rampage throughout the facility. And I like to think during this rampage, the monster ate and absorbed the memories of humans and its collective consciousness realized that maybe human life ain't so bad. And after collecting enough DNA, biomass and a way out, morphed itself into a human which looked like any other. Stepped outside and integrated itself into society, maybe it went on to make a family and died of old age, or maybe went on to live on a farm. Fact is, this monster of great power would rather chose a simple life than whatever greater dreams humans have.
  • 1:14 the girl be like: he not gonna kill me Also gets crushed many times*
  • The creature left, but had a hard time fitting in until it found a profession perfectly suited to its parasitic, destructive, and deceitful ways: Politics.

The fact that it went outside the facility, and didn’t immediately go on a murderous rampage eating everything, indicates that its gained true sentience and just…remained as a human. If it wanted to, it could achieve true satiety and just become a pet. It would be pampered and loved purely for existing. Why should it struggle looking for happiness, if it could just get attention and be given food, shelter, and headpats, for free.

I like the way he killed those humans
