I think that ddg being removed when using chutes is because the game makes you invulnerable when you use them and removes it when you land on the other side. You even used the mechanic to blow up a bomb at one point, it probably works that way so they can have sligs shoot at you as you fall. I imagine if there is a way to interrupt the chute animation that would probably also leave you invulnerable.

We (my brother and I) got REALLY close to 100%ing this game with no internet access as kids. We had so much fun finding all the ridiculously hidden secrets. Unfortunately, I think at some point our parents took away the PS1 as punishment for one thing or another, and I don't think we came back to it after that, even after we eventually got it back.

Used to watch my dad play this, had nightmares from this fuckers face for about a decade but in hindsight it's such a goofy game more than anything, love this video!

I have played the first two og Oddworld games basically every year for 20 years and I can not believe that I have never seen the backwards jump up roll bump happen before. I almost spit out my soup holy shit.

I remember watching you do this live and missing 1 of the secrets areas on the Zulug 1 re-visit and having to go back off stream just to get the footage.

So nice to see people still playing the oddworld series, I played Abe's Odyssey as a child but my playstation broke and i was too young to remember the name of the game. It took over a decade to find the game again

These games were my childhood nightmare but nowadays I really adore them! Looking forward to seeing how far you can take this one!

This is something i would have come up with by myself, but somehow i didn't. Although i did a similar challenge, where i tried to beat Rupturefarms only, without KILLING any sligs or GETTING CAUGHT. I've done this with the first level in Oddysee, Exoddus, New n Tasty and Soulstorm. Still, this was a very insane run you did. I would rather focus on beating the game rather than saving the mudokons, but the fact that you were willing to go through every secrets and save as many mudokons as you could was insane. Also, i learned so many new glitches and tricks from this video. I absolutely enjoyed every second from this video 😍

I remember trying to get all 99 mudokens back in the day, took me a good while, then the worst part of the whole thing is that when you save 99 the bonus you get is a trailer for the game you just played.... I was so pissed off with that 😂🤣 Great video though, this was one was a tough challenge, you pulled off come crazy strats

What's crazy is the Gameboy had it's own games for this series and exodus was on the GBC, which is kinda insane!

This completely explained all the glitches in Abe's Oddysee speed runs! And it was surprisingly easy to follow. I suppose it helps that I know the game so well, but very patiently explained, I feel.
