Searching For the First Bluefish of the Season - New England

That time of year where the salt starts to come alive up here in RI. Bluefish reports were pretty good in the states to the south so I figured maybe I could find one or 3 up here in RI at the end of April. Gave it a shot, also tried some bay spots for Bass, overall, slow steady fishing.

I won the pool on the Blackhawk out of Niantic back on a trip from Colorado in 2010. 16lb beauty. I grew up with a cottage in Misquamicut before we moved here to Colorado in 91’. I miss the hell out of the ocean and party boat fishing. It’s been 15yrs since I’ve been back east but it’s time for a trip. Love the channel man I don’t miss a video.

Been having a lot of success with a 1/4 ounce kastmaster with the bucktail trailer for largemouth bass in my local pond in Massachusetts over the past week. I'm tempted to buy the bigger version with the tube trailer for saltwater.

I remember finding this channel several years ago and for like the first two years I swore the channel was called Sea-Monkey Fishing, reading is fundamental guys🤣
