⏬ This is the most budget-friendly power rack I could find. So I loaded 900 LB on it.⏬

At Garage Gym Reviews, we test a lot of squat racks. But, they're almost always above $1,000 starting price. So, at the request of you guys, we're working on reviewing cheaper stuff.

Such as this, the Fitness Reality 810XLT Squat Rack that is the cheapest power rack I could find on Amazon.

Is it cheap? Yes...
Is it good? Eh...

However, what I've found for our Fitness Reality 810XLT Squat Rack review is that it just works. And sometimes, that's enough.

Fitness Reality: The reality is that 99% of you won't need a rack that holds over 500 pounds...ever.
  • @alexking4602
“This one isn’t as stable” as he shakes a rack with 400 extra pounds on it.
  • @AxlGao12
I honestly respect Coop for doing videos like these that show people how pretty much no one NEEDS 11 to 7 gauge 3'x3' racks. You're never going to compromise the integrity of the steel. Now if you WANT a 7 or 11 gauge 3'x3' then that's perfect, just don't go telling novices that they need Rogue everything for their home gyms.
  • rattles a rack with no weights and moves around*, *rattles a rack with over 500 lbs of weight and doesnt move around surprised pikachu

DROP TEST!!!!! Maybe just start from where most ppl would fail “in the hole” then if it survives that drop it high lol

I bought the half rack version a few months ago and it's been great for me. The half rack version also includes a landmine attachment and 2 weight storage attachments, which helps keep it more sturdy if you don't want to bolt it down.
  • Keep up the budget equipment reviews - very helpful for a large portion of the population (mid-level lifter who doesn't have thousands to spend on equipment)!

For anyone buying this rack. Make sure you get the same brand attachments. The hulk fit ones are a bit different, as the bars on top are different and also the hulk fit has different vertical posts (2.5x2.5) so not all attachments such as j hooks will fit unless you get them custom from the same company

I’ve had this rack for over a couple of years, currently adding band peg holes and brackets to bolt down. Been an excellent rack for me on a tight budget and limited space, fits well in a 7’x 8’ space.

If your the everyday person whose gotta job and bills which is a good percentage of the country and wanna stay in shape this'll be fine.
  • Unless you're an elite powerlifter your never going to need anything more than this.

Coop: “There’s no places to bolt it down” Machinist: visible confusion
  • @CloaknDagger
I bought this rack last year and seeing that you did this review just 3 weeks ago makes me very happy. You're right, this review instills confidence in the product for me!!! Thank you!!! And yes! Definitely test a drop on it hahaha, I need to know if I'm gonna die using it lol
  • @jacobmergl2820
“These are actually worth more than this whole rack” * drops on the floor with no regard *
  • @leevancleef358
Coop : "this rack isn't that stable (with NO weights on it)...now THIS rack over here ( with stacks of 45lb plates on it) this one isnt going anywhere...
  • @hankshowers
I've had this rack since approx 2015. Today it is March 21, 2021. I am currently blasting out reps on a Beautiful Sunday morning with the same rack. Love it. Randomly saw this video in my feed and felt like actually reviewing something that has lasted me this long.
  • MOAR budget and DIY testing and reviews (love your coverage of the concrete weight molds....)! Always drop it! Kinda helps you learn to build it better when you drop it....
