Coop, I've been following your stuff for years and only just now realized I wasn't actually subscribed. :-( Fixed!

You look like a gym coach from a 80's teen movie.

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the youtube.com/post/UgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoR… cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

My order total from Rogue was around $3,900 but with shipping costs it came to something like $4,500. After I put in my order I realized that orders over $5,000 ship free. So basically, I could have got somewhere around $1,100 worth of actual equipment and only spent 500 more bucks (not that my wife would have gone for me spending even more money on the gym). Something to think about if you are starting your own home gym.

My biggest mistake after 5 years was the more crap I got the less content I became...I ended up missing the simplicity of a rack a barbell and a bench.

Watching this in COVID-era 2020 and the SML-2 desk is the hardest flex ever

Idk about just going into your garage and just doing burpees to test if you want a home gym or not. There's a certain appeal to being able to accomplish a full workout at home. Maybe buy enough equipment to accomplish one of your gym workout routines. Like dumbbells and a bench and do a full shoulder workout at home. Something that you would normally do at the gym but would save time doing it at home.

This guy has more equipment than what the original olympia winners had and he has the same physique as my dad

I love your honesty. I can’t begin to explain how much you have helped me build my home gym. Thanks for keeping it 100.
  • @Turfmastr
do you use the equipment or just collect it?
  • Great video!! My husband and I have a basement gym that we’ve built over the last 15 years. We live rurally and access to a commercial gym was limited due to distance and weather (upstate NY). We did NOT start out with the intention of really building a home gym and it sort of evolved into a pretty sweet setup. Most of our buys are used from CL, FB, and old school classifieds (ha!). We definitely have some buys that are probably considered mistakes like tile mats (we do have some horse stall mats) and some DSG specials like the BB, plates, and benches. We enjoy lifting but are by no means posting monster numbers on the big lifts, so hey, it works for us. Maybe one day I’ll buy a nice BB and then understand why the internet is always crapping on the cheapo ones that I use, but until then, ignorance is bliss! 🤣

It's not hard to work out alone. In fact, it's the best option. Either you are motivated to get or maintain your health or not. 😶
