This is the kind of song I can listen to when I'm either happy or sad

This song means so much to me, after getting through a one sided break up, in which I never gained any closure for. She moved on almost instantly and I was left in the mud. I wasn't cruel to her, I didn't everything I could and she still decided to leave me. As the song suggests, I've begun to realize that she wasn't good for me and that I'm better off with out her. Sometimes it doesn't seem that way but I know it to be true. She'll always be there in my heart, my first serious relationship, but I'll also remember what she did. And while I don't know if I can move on, I can at least push it aside and get better.

I listened to this song everyday while I was recovering from Opiate addiction. I would cry and dance at the same time. “And the days go by, and I never needed you”. The words to this song got me through some of my darkest days.
