More than ever. I have GOT to go to Sri Lanka someday!!! Those birds are just too awesome to never see in person! I'm a chicken fanatic in the U.S. Here, we just mainly have the strains that are domesticated from the red junglefowl, possibly mixed with grey junglefowl. I used to have a feral flock in my backyard growing up, from when my neighbor moved out, and some escaped. He couldn't catch them, so they stayed back, and they just built themselves a whole flock back there! I delighted in watching them roost at night in a big tree out back, and I loved petting their legs and combs, because very few would let me do more than that... Watching them go from tiny cotton balls, then they'd sprout wings, and then grow up to be cute little pretty hens or majestic roosters... 💖💖💖 Red junglefowl and the descendants are all awesome! And I really want to see all of the other wild junglefowl relatives in their natural habitats someday!
  • I have noticed that your jungle fowls are not the one flown away whenever there are people nearby. Here in philippines , when this wild chicken feel that someone's coming. They will fly high through the next mountain or some far places or tall trees.
