I'm glad they showed Mera giving Birth to Arthur Jr; I had always wondered if an Atlantian gave birth would they be underwater or halfway underwater like regular women who have water births.

I know you'll say that it's acting but it's crazy to me that apparently Momoa and Amber were not so friendly on set but had to act like a husband and a wife in the movie.

2:38 That scene with all of them together while watching this movie in the theater was seriously the MOST EMOTIONAL scene ever!!! And I'm talking about ALL OF THEM from the moment that Black Manta attacks Tom, leaving him alive so Arthur can watch him die and takes Junior to after Arthur's screams are heard, and junior's crying just adds in it all. Basically, each one of them together made this part just INSANE!

I really don't like how optics and social politics affect movies. I hate that at the end Mera wasn't standing beside Arthur to introduce Atlantis and the Atlanteans during the press conference. It's canon in the comics and DCAU that Arthur often relinquishes his responsibility as King to Mera because he recognises she's more politically astute than him. Mera has shown multiple times she's a strong political leader, if not better than Arthur. They did Mera dirty just because of the Depp v Heard scandal. I think we're more than capable of separating actors and characters.

Considering the first Aquaman (with Amber on its poster) was on Netflix’s Top 5 films, it should get a Director’s Cut version of Aquaman 2. Also, I can see a continuing storyline, if the second does well enough. I’m especially curious to know what Orm’s life is like after hiding on land for a few years…
